Dripsang is a Tibetan incense blend traditionally used for energetic cleansing of spaces, objects, and persons — in body and mind. Made from 111 natural ingredients including carefully harvested herbs and medicines from the Himalayan mountains, it follows a strict formula preserved in ancient scriptural texts. When burnt, it releases a rich, herbal aroma.
The cleansing smoke dispels contaminated energy, obstructive beings, and negative moods & emotions. It is recommended to burn Dripsang to remove negative energy:
- After visiting hospital or clinics
- After having contact with people who are sick, especially contagious illnesses
- After attending funerals or wakes
- After being exposed to places with unclean or harmful energy
- When bringing home used items (e.g. furniture, cars, clothing, etc)
- To cleanse spaces that have been occupied by the sick or emotionally distressed
Dripsang is also traditionally offered to remove obstacles and bring good luck — for newborns, newlyweds and on the 1st and 15th days of the lunar month. It is particularly pleasing to "formless beings" who are unseen but present and co-exist in our environment.
