An oxidised-finish copper statue of the healing female Buddha, White Tara, exquisitely hand-carved by master craftsmen with full iconographic detail according to traditional scriptural sources. A perfect addition to a small shrine at home, in the office, or as part of a portable travel altar.
White Tara is supremely peaceful and meditative and is often praised as the Mother of All Buddhas. The white colour of her body represents purity, wisdom and truth. She sits in the meditative posture and has eyes of watchful compassion on her forehead, the palms of her hands and the soles of her feet. Her right hand is in the mudra (gesture) of unconditional giving while her left hand holds a blue utpala flower.
White Tara is famous for granting long life and for averting life-threatening situations. Her practice helps quell anger, hatred and jealousy, and reduce miserliness, desire and attachment. She is especially beneficial for those who are older or who need healing.
This White Tara statue can be personalised with a hand-painted face using real gold dust or insertion of mantras and holy items. You can also offer pearls and semi-precious stones, as H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche always encouraged the practice of making offerings to the Three Jewels, which creates the causes for us to attain the six paramitas (perfections).

I was putting together my altar as I'm relatively new to Buddhism, and I can't explain it really but I loved this little statue. It was within my budget and space at the time. I was happy to find they could do mantra insertion and I absolutely believe it was well worth it. Shipped out quickly, arrived well packed and with blessed rice too.
