Tara Incense Sticks are handmade to meet the highest standards of quality, following a strict formula found in ancient traditional texts from 21 natural medicinal herbs, oils, resins and spices from the Himalayan mountains.

Originally prepared under the auspices of the eminent healing lama, H.E. Gangchen Rinpoche, this spicy herbal incense is especially suitable for use in religious rituals and as an offering to the Buddhas, particularly the female Goddess Tara. A firm favourite among Tibetan Buddhists, Tara is renowned for her swiftness to come in aid of those who sincerely invoke her in prayers.

Incense is often used to purify what has been offered on the altar. Buddhists also offer incense to create the causes to have morality, ethics and hold one's vows well. Hence, it is strongly encouraged to offer the best incense (and by extension, the best offerings) that one can afford.

Directions for Use

• Light the incense stick and place it horizontally on the bed of ash in an incense burner
• A small quantity of powder incense may also be sprinkled over the lit incense stick
• Always burn incense in moderate quantities to prevent overheating
• Never leave unattended
