About Green Tara

Green Tara is the main form of Tara, the most popular saviour-goddess within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. She is beloved for her swiftness to aid anyone who sincerely invokes her in prayer. Her ability to come to our assistance is instant — we only need to think of her to have her compassionate heart with us.

Her blessings can support us in all aspects of life, especially in relationships, family matters, and spiritual well-being. She fulfils our virtuous wishes and relieves our fears and worries.

In a previous life, Tara made a vow to always return as a female Bodhisattva to help us out of suffering. In her main form as Green Tara, she leans towards us with great compassion to listen to our prayers and protect us as a mother would for her child.
