Description

Details

An oxidised copper statue of the wealth protector Six-Armed White Mahakala, hand-carved with full iconographic detail according to traditional scriptural sources.

White Mahakala is an emanation of Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion. His practice is popular across all schools of Tibetan Buddhism and he is the principal wealth deity within the Shangpa Kagyu tradition.

Specifically, he increases wealth and material abundance, and supports the comfort and economic well-being of spiritual practitioners. He is particularly effective for quelling difficulties and obstacles, and swiftly responds to heartfelt prayers.

White Mahakala has a wrathful appearance. In his six arms, he holds a wish-fulfilling jewel, a curved flaying knife, a trident, a vajra hook, a damaru and a skull cup containing a vase filled with jewels. These implements symbolise his ability to increase material and spiritual wealth, to attract all things positive, to purify our negative karma for experiencing poverty, and to cut away the delusions that stop us from attaining higher states of consciousness.

This White Mahakala statue can be personalised with a hand-painted face using real gold dust or insertion of mantras and holy items. You can also offer pearls and semi-precious stones, as H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche always encouraged the practice of making offerings to the Three Jewels, which creates the causes for us to attain the Six Paramitas (perfections).
