The Heart Sutra, or the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, is one of the most well known of Buddhist scriptures. Although short, it is rich in meaning and history as it contains the essential concepts of Buddhist beliefs and philosophies.

Based on the Heart Sutra, one of the most important sutras of the Buddhist canon, the elaborate Sheningdundok puja counters strong negative influences, especially those of supernatural origin. Extensive offerings and recitations are made throughout this puja, thus generating a tremendous amount of merits and uplifting energies for all.
