Wealth vases are highly effective to attract the energies of wealth and increase. Also known as treasure vases or feng shui vases, wealth vases help provide material gain and prosperity, while blessing and stabilising their surrounding environment. On a spiritual level, wealth vases also help in achieving inner wealth, which are spiritual attainments.

Originating in India, the tradition of wealth vases arrived in Tibet over 1,000 years ago. The ancient Saint Padmasambhava gave specific instructions for creating wealth vases, which represent the Wealth Buddhas. Since then, Tibetans have kept wealth vases in their homes, on the altar and even buried in the ground. These days, wealth vases are also kept in offices and places of business for growth and prosperity.

Wealth vases are usually handmade by monks in an elaborate process following specific scriptural instructions. On rare occasions, some wealth vases are made by high lamas, respected Rinpoches and esteemed spiritual personages. These are highly sought after for the additional blessings and power they are believed to contain, arising from the lama’s spiritual attainments, and power of mantra, focus and visualisation.

This limited edition White Mahakala wealth vase was handmade and consecrated in 2022 by:
  • His Eminence Zasep Tulku Rinpoche, internationally respected teacher of Gelugpa Buddhism and the 13th incarnation of his line.

  • His Eminence Zawa Tulku Rinpoche, a master in the construction of sand mandalas, ritual arts, and healing and purification rituals.

An emanation of Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion, White Mahakala’s blessings bring wealth and material prosperity, and help us overcome obstacles and financial challenges. In particular, this wealth aspect of Mahakala specifically supports the comfort and economic well-being of Buddhist practitioners, and is recommended for temples and Dharma centres.

The wealth vase is filled with precious items such as relics from high lamas, representations of the Wealth Buddhas, holy items, precious and semi-precious gems, mantra scrolls, various auspicious substances, medicinal herbs, traditional incense, and the five natural elements including earth, gold and silver. Prayers were continuously recited while the wealth vase was filled. Upon completion, an extensive Yangdup ceremony was conducted to invoke and seal the energies of the Wealth Buddhas within.

The exterior features richly embroidered silks and gold-plated carvings of the Eight Auspicious Signs as an offering to the wealth deity. The wealth vase can be further personalised with pearl decorations or other precious items as an offering to the Buddhas and to enhance its positive energies.

All proceeds from the invitation of this wealth vase will be directed towards writing and online Dharma projects conceptualised by H.E. Tsem Rinpoche.
