Description

Details

A stunning gold-plated copper statue of Tantric Buddha Heruka Chakrasamvara and his consort Vajrayogini, handcrafted with full iconographic detail according to traditional scriptural sources. Complete with hand-painted gold faces and wrathful deity features, it is an excellent focal point and meditation aid for your daily practice.

An emanation of Buddha Shakyamuni, Heruka Chakrasamvara’s practice is one of the highest tantras in Buddhism and is unique because it is the only Tantra (along with Vajrayogini's) whose effectiveness increases as the times degenerate further. His practice has led many women and men to full awakening within a single lifetime.

With a majestic light-body of dazzling dark blue radiance, Heruka Chakrasamvara embodies the great bliss of inner transformation, the liberation from ignorance. He has four faces and twelve arms, representing the attainment of Enlightenment through the abandonment of the twelve dependent-related links of Samsara and gaining the realisations of the four doors of liberation. In union with his consort Vajrayogini, they ultimately represent the union of wisdom and compassion, or Emptiness and Bliss, which leads directly to the enlightened mind.

As a tantric Buddha, Heruka uses the negative qualities within us as a means of achieving Enlightenment - redirecting our negative energies and transforming them into qualities that benefit others. His image calms our immediate environment, grants protection and swiftly increases merits, wealth, attainments and general harmony. While self-practice is only available to those who are initiated, his image allows non-initiates to receive the benefits of his protection, to collect immense merits and to create a connection with him, whose blessings become more powerful with every passing day.

This Heruka statue can be personalised with traditional mantra insertion or brocade clothing such as a Tibetan-style tule and pangden. You can also offer pearls and semi-precious stones, as H.E. Tsem Rinpoche always encouraged the practice of making offerings to the Three Jewels, which creates the causes for us to attain the Six Paramitas (perfections).
